Amishi Dharia, DO
Amishi Dharia, DO, FAAPMR is a Board Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician with a focus on Women’s Musculoskeletal Health- Pregnancy / Post-partum related musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Dharia specializes in non-surgical and non-operative conservative orthopedic management. Dr. Dharia completed her internship in Medicine at Northwell Health-Plainview Hospital. Dr. Dharia fulfilled her residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia and Cornell. She currently is the Chief Operations Officer of National Health Rehabilitation and clinical physiatrist. Dr. Dharia is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Dharia focuses on patient-centered, comprehensive neuro-musculoskeletal care specializing in the diagnosis and non-operative treatment of nerve, muscle and bone injuries utilizing diagnostic ultrasound guided injections, electro diagnostic tests- EMG and nerve conduction studies, medication management and tailored physical therapy programs. Dr. Dharia is dedicated to the integrative and conservative treatments of musculoskeletal injuries. She believes in assessing the body as a whole with a holistic approach that emphasizes restoring function, eliminating pain and improving the quality of life of her patients.
Dr. Dharia’s special interests are functional medicine and alternative/ ayurvedic medicine. Her goal is patient empowerment to strive toward the body’s natural, optimal state of structure/function.
